Golf course in Sicily

Take a trip from Calabria to neighbouring Sicily where you will find one of the best golf courses Italy has to offer at the Il Picciolo Golf Club, in the village of Castiglione di Sicilia between Mount Etna and the town of Taormina. Designed by Luigi Rota Caremoli and built in 1989, The planners followed the geological structure of this area which offers remarkable natural obstacles and a very varied course. Owing to the permanent changes of the landscape, some holes have been set into the hazelnut, oak pine and eucalyptus trees which contributes to its unique charm.
