Playing in Serie A of the Italian football league, reputably the most elite in the football world, Reggina staged a thrilling last matchday victory over newly-crowned UEFA Champions League winners, AC Milan, to avoid relegation by just one point last season.
Reggina will be playing host to Juventus who join Serie A this year, Roma, Sampdoria and Lazio to name just a few. Their stadium, the Stadio Oreste Granillo, is located in Reggio Calabria and was built in 1999 and seats 27,763.
